Kinzua Dam

The Kinzua Dam holds back the waters of the Allegheny River and Kinzua Creek, providing flood control for downstream areas. The Route 59 access offers a visitor's center, an observation deck, a boat launch, a playground/ picnic area, and a hiking trail, as well as access for bank fishing. The Hemlock Road access offers additional opportunities for fishing, with a handicapped-accessible pier.

The new Hickory Street Bridge, designed by Michael Baker Jr. Inc., opened in 2005. It is featured in November's Roads & Bridges as one of the Daring 2B Different: Top 10 Bridges, and is rated at number four.
